PORTRAIT SESSION INFORMATION
BE READY!
Arrive for your shoot with your hair and make-up EXACTLY as you want them.
You will be much more relaxed if you are not rushed!
HAIR
Don't Try a New Hairstyle on the day of the Shoot!!
Bring Brush or Comb for touch-ups.
      IF YOU GO TO A SALON . . .
Schedule enough time after appointment to dress, apply make-up and drive to the studio.
Be sure the salon will take you ON-TIME.
      Allow extra time for delays.
MAKE-UP
Bring Face Powder to reduce shine.
Even if you do not normally wear make up, wear
a little bit for your pictures.
Use cover-up to hide Blemishes.
CLOTHES
Solid outfits photograph better than prints.
Avoid deep V-necks, ordinary white blouses, heavy sweaters, big floral prints.
Sleveless tops can make arms look heavy.
Jeans, pants, and longer skirts photograph well.
Short skirts are VERY DIFFICULT during posing.
Choose your outfit a week before the shoot.
if you choose a sitting with several outfits . . .
bring something casual and something classic
make sure changing is easy and will not destroy your hair
GLASSES
Stop by Opti-World or some other optician and get a pair of frames with no glass in them so we will not have glare.
Opticians will usually let you charge frames out.
SHOES
Shoes usually are not in Photos.
Bring shoes that will allow you to walk on pine needles for outdoor poses.
HANDS
Hands should be well groomed and fingernails polished as they will be in the photographs.
JEWERLY
Don't forget pearls or your favorite necklace for your Senior Photo!
POSES
Look for poses in magazines that you like, bring examples to the shoot.
PROPS
Bring hats, musical instruments, sunglasses, etc..
GUESTS
Guests are invited to attend.
In fact, I need you to bring someone with whom you are comfortable to hold an
umbrella to keep the sun off of your face.
FRIENDS
Friends are welcome so long as they will not make the sitter nervous.
Friends can have pictures taken together, just let me know ahead of time.
BOYFRIENDS & GIRLFRIENDS
I have found boyfriends and girlfriends can make the sitter nervous.
Perhaps it is better to surprise them with a photo once the session is over!
PARENTS
Please do not interrupt photo session.
Sometimes parents and teenagers stress each other out.
If this is the case, please leave parents at home!
CHILDREN
Please do not bring young children as they are distracting during session.
CANCELLATIONS
you MUST call me to cancel 48 hours before your shoot or you will
be charged for the sitting fee.
MEN ONLY-
A fresh shave is a MUST.
Wait about a week after a hair cut to have your picture taken.
Like the movie stars: Use a tiny bit of cover-up make-up on blemishes.
I have two tuxes which will fit between a 38 & 42.
If you wear a different size, you must provide your own tuxedo for formal pictures
Its fine to wear shorts or jeans with tux.
Casuals will be taken after the formals unless it rains.
Khakis and jeans work well.
NO Bermuda Shorts.
A long sleeve shirt is better than short sleeve.
Bring ironed shirts on hangers.
